You already know who Kelly Pratt is as he’s a touring member and contributing member of Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem and Coldplay. He has quite a reputation as a musician and now he’s created his own album which is nothing less than fantastic. <strong>“Travelers”</strong> is the first single off of his upcoming album <strong><em>Natives. </em></strong></p> <p>The album starts with a subtle handclap and piano on <strong>“Tourists”</strong> but quickly picks up the brass section that Pratt is known for. Being that Pratt is the contributing brass member of the many bands he has formed/toured with, expect to hear a lot of brass instruments. “Travelers” is a shining example of Pratt’s brass work. <strong>“Behind the Gun” </strong>sounds a bit like a Foster the People song but none the less it’s a great track and probably the second best on the album. It’s a song that literally takes my mind to another place that transcends reality. I highly recommend their first album for shoegaze lovers.
