Arctic Monkeys on the Glastonbury Headline Slot

Arctic Monkeys headlining Glastonbury again was just another rumor before, so fans kept their fingers crossed and wished it wasn’t just another hoax. Well, British tabloid The Sun reported that the band will be the ones to headline the Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival this year. June 28 is the date to be marked on your calendars, everyone. You don’t want to miss this one hell of an event, do you?

It started when Alex Turner revealed that he has been wishing for another shot to headline Glastonbury again. Last time’s performance was absolutely breathtaking. With a sea of people banging their heads and throwing their hands up in the sky, it’s safe to say it’s one of the biggest events in history. Especially at that time when they sang “I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor,” you could hear the fans sing along as Alex Turner sings it. And lighting the fuse might result in a bang b-b-bang! Go! More like Bingo! I remember the times when I play it at www.foxybingo.com, I just can’t help singing the song as I play it. It’s a perfect soundtrack to pump up blood as the going gets tough.

Despite how that awesome night went, Alex Turner stated “I don’t think we got that quite right when we did it in 2007.” That’s actually a good thing if you think about it. It basically means that after Arctic Monkeys already rocked the stage so hard last 2007, how much more is in store for us? They’re the biggest English rock band to date, how many more people will be joining in the crowd at the time the band headlines Glastonbury once again? Ever since the band’s formation, they have been a favorite of many. From kick-ass tunes to melodramatic and humorous songs, you can just listen to them nonstop.
