Boston synth rock band Magic Man continue to ride a crest of acclaim for their July, 2014 Columbia Records debut album, Before The Waves.  The compelling fivesome announced they’ll be heading out on the road this autumn with celebrated indie band Smallpools (dates below) on their North American fall tour.  Dates include performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver, British Columbia, among other cities with additional dates added today.

Magic Man is already basking in a summer’s worth of high profile shows that included their first headlining tour, as well as opening for Panic! At The Disco in July/early-August on their The Gospel Tour trek.  Most recently, Magic Man pulled off a seamless performance at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden during the run.  The past few months have also seen the band play to more festival crowds, including a high energy set in May at Boston Calling and a much-hailed show in June at the Firefly Music Festival.

The group will also be showcasing “Paris,” the kickoff gem from their new album, with a live performance of the song on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, August 12th.  Fans can tune in at 12:35 EST/11:35 CST on NBC to catch the show.  “Paris” has been a fan favorite at multiple radio stations for months, including SIRIUS XM’s Alt Nation charts, owning the #1 slot for a couple weeks running on their Alt-18 Countdown. “Out Of Mind” has also been added to SIRIUS XM’s Alt Nation.

Before The Waves also soared to the Top 5 of the Alternative Album Chart, praised as “one of the summer’s more addictive listens” by the Boston Herald. The album was produced by Alex Aldi (Passion Pit, Holy Ghost!), who also worked with the band on last year’s You Are Here EP.  Before The Waves has snagged raves from a diverse array of platforms, including GQ, Esquire, Nylon, Substream Press and Boston Herald, among others.

Magic Man are Alex Caplow, Sam Vanderhoop Lee, Gabe Goodman, Joey Sulkowski, and Justine Bowe.
