Jessi Mechanic is a five piece band from New York City that have brought to us some perfect pop music, in a great sense. The lead singer, Jessi Mechanic, has a voice that is beautifully ethereal with a lot of similarities to Harriett Wheeler from the Sundays, without sounding exactly the same. This is the type of pop music the scene has been looking for; without the posturing, the embellishing, the “American Idol” ideal of impress the audience with pyrotechnics.
