Hear – The Tulips “Compromise” folk psychodelia

    “Compromise”

    Echo Blue

The Tulips are a psych/folk based combo from LA which deliver a beautifully complex punch while sounding surprisingly laid-back.  The vocals remind one of Hope Sandoval but with more emotion.  The Tulips are an odd band, even a great band.  The mix of folk with psychedelia and that distant feeling in the production, as if you, as the listener, are eavesdropping, makes a single in “Compromise” something that stays in your head for a long time.  I’m ready for psychedelia revival, and the Tulips will lead the way.
