    “Final Flight”

    Deep Trip

OH MY GOD.  I HAVE HEARD THE FUTURE, AND IT’S DESTRUCTION UNIT.  This band sounds like James Chance and Lydia Lunch decided to record themselves having sex.  Tremendous stuff.  Destruction Unit states that during the live performance of “Final Flight”, filmed at the Joshua Tree, the band managed to completely empty the restaurant of all customers except for one customer, who gave the band a bag of weed.  The video is directed by Cali Thornhill DeWitt, who captures all the pain and anger and beauty of this song.  Destruction Unit is on tour now.  Catch their show.
