As soon as that first beat drops, you know you’re in the presence of something good. The Shills, base in Boston, are a quartet with a funky bass and drum line, great guitars sounds, and fun, catchy vocals. The Shills consist of Bryan Murphy (guitar/vocals), Ryan Jackson (guitar), Dave Sicilian (bass) and James Zaner (drums). They have already gotten a lot of much deserved press for their funky mix of rock and soul. A band that makes you think while moving your ass; a very nice accomplishment. I spot a winner here. Oh, and did I say they’re funky as hell?
