    “Pedestrian At Best”

Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit

What’s going on in Melbourne?  Whatever is in the water, they need to bottle it.  Courtney Barnett comes from Melbourne, and she rocks harder than most people out there today, with a tremendous sense of humor and that Aussie smart ass attitude.  I expect Barnett to be a contender for the Grammy’s this year.  “Pedestrian At Best” is a great song.

put me on a pedestal and I’ll only disappoint
you tell me I’m exceptional and I promise to exploit you
give me all your money and I’ll make some origami honey
    I think you’re a joke but I don’t find you very funny

This is just a sample of her lyrics.  I love her originality and her honesty.  Trust me, you will be hearing much more from Barrett in days to come.  She is that damned good.
