    CocoRosie

    “Lost Girls”

    Heartache City

THANK THE GODDESS!!!!!!  COCOROSIE IS RELEASING A NEW ALBUM SEPTEMBER 18TH.  This really is my favorite band of all time.  I saw them during their Tales Of A Grasswidow tour, and, although there was sound trouble, it was one of the greatest shows ever.  CocoRosie has pre-released some live songs from Heartache City that are as good if not better than their music of the past.  On Heartache City, the sisters have returned to their roots of simple instruments, simple production, but still that same weirdness that has always been their mainstay.  I have not seen the album cover, but I’m sure it will be as controversial as their other covers have been.  Musically, CocoRosie is in a world of their own.  Until you hear them, you won’t believe they exist.  They are starting their US tour in September.  If they play close to you, go see them.  You won’t be disappointed.  Jim Jarmusch has described them as

“Sounding ‘like two little Billie Holidays an octave higher if you were on acid in Tokyo in 1926’ “

I could not make it any clearer.  Here is a list of the shows set so far for September.
