Coming from Northern Ireland, LORIS is comprised of Frances Mitchell (vocals, keys), Tommy Keery (guitar), Chris Scott (Drums, Keys) and Michael Mormecha (keys, drums). Mitchell’s vocals are heavenly and soar over the keys, percussion, and guitar on this wonderful poppy song that actually translates, in my mind, something beyond your typical pop band. The prevalence of keyboards and the vocals of Mitchell set this pop band apart from the crowd. They remind me of a more upbeat The Sundays or a sweeter, happier Lana. The production is superb without drowning out their main quality, Mitchell’s vocals. A wonderful Autumn song, when the weather changes.
