    “He Who Cried, “Whore!'”

    I Gave You The Moon But You Wanted The Stars

    What an amazing song.  The Insurrectionists is Casey K, a 20 year old multi-instrumentalist and singer, who began playing guitar at the age of ten.  AmpKicker states;

    “Casey K sings about the modern age using dystopian images, describing messy lust, hellish company and unknown trauma like the Master of Ceremonies of a burning building.”

    I wish I had said that (I know, you will, Svetlana, you will).  But it is a perfect description of Casey K’s sound.  Even his album title is about those in your life who want more than you can give.  So totally sincere, wear your heart on sleeve, get trampled, then get back up and play the same game.  Love it.  The Insurrectionists hits all the right notes, the right emotions, the right senses.  I wish I could help him emotionally, but he makes such great music, I ain’t messin’ with a winning formula.  And the most amazing thing, Casey K is the whole band.  And the sound is so thick you could cut it with a knife.  Todd Rundgren would be proud.
