    Cordelia & The Buffalo

From the first, almost CocoRosie start, to the hard-rocking middle, you know you are not listening to your average band.  Cordelia & The Buffalo is the brainchild of Mexican-American musician, Cordelia, who brought the band together in 2011 with the goal of creating a fresh and unique new sound. Based in Boston, Cordelia & The Buffalo consists of Cordelia Vizcaino on vocals/synths, Yusuke Sato (guitar), Rodrigo Gramitto (guitar), Diego Diaz (drums), Dan McCallum (bass) and Dag Hanken (percussion/synths).  New music is exactly what Cordelia & The Buffalo present.  This holy (wholly) union of world sounds from Latin America, Japan, and World Music totally works.  This is one of the most unique and beautiful songs I have heard in a long time.  And that voice:  Cordelia has this extensive range that she knows how to use; from a gravelly low to beautiful high to everything in between.  This is a sound everyone needs to hear.
