    It was on this day in 1993 that Nirvana recorded their amazing live performance on MTV UnPlugged at the MTV studios in New York. The set consisted of lesser known tracks as well as a few covers. The band went on to recieve a Grammy for the event for Best Alternative Music Album in 1996.
