Since summer is coming up (though if you live in the Northeast you might not believe it), it is time to listen to something bouncy and light, but not sappy or infantile. My pick for those summer parties: Plaid Brixx and their new single “The Greener Side”. I LOVE pop music if it’s done right, and Plaid Brixx knows how to do it. A little poppy, a little punky, a little funky; stir it all up, and you get one of the songs for the summer. Until Silversun Pickups and Palm Trees & Power Lines release new singles, Plaid Brixx easily fills the gap. This power pop band, made up of Chris Duggan (vocalist), Mark Le Rose (drums) and Jared Samaya (bass), more than take up the slack. Seriously, guys, this will be the song you’ll be dancing and romancing to this summer.
