First off, you name you new album, dropping in September, from a great quote from D. H. Lawrence’s “Lady Chatterly’s Lover”. Then you film your first video for the album, “The Good Lie”, in film noir style. Then, you add this perfect goth, creepy style vocals, and hell yeah, you got my attention. Warhaus is the artistic alter ego and solo recording project of Maarten Devoldere — who (along with Jinte Deprez) fronts the urbanely soulful Belgian rock band Balthazar. (One of my favorite bands). This song would have easily fit on Depeche Mode’s Violator, but with a style that is all Devoldere. If I were making True Blood, I’d use this song as the soundtrack. Beautiful and creepy. Love the whole mix.
