Chris Blacker has done it again. “The Day I Hit The Ground” is a poignant song, which Blacker carries off with his wonderful, intense voice, all over a great piano and bass riff held together by the drums. The music would overwhelm a lesser singer, but Blacker overcomes. And when the horns come in, chills, dude, chills. The production fits the song so well.
