    “Funeral”

Grammy winner, Sonya Kitchen, has released an unbelievably beautiful but sad reaction to the US Presidential election with her cautionary comment on an event that will end up as the most important and frightening event of the 21st century.  As Kitchen says:

On “Funeral,” Kitchell’s powerful voice is laid over a sparse, haunting acoustic arrangement in examination of real world and existential grief.

    “A whole nation

    Cries in the wake

    It’s time

    The glass ceiling must break”

Whether or not you agree, Kitchen has made a beautiful song that Buffy Ste. Marie and Joan Baez would be proud to have made.  Maybe this will open up a new era of protest music.
