Top 40 From The 60’s: Foxygen – “Follow The Leader”

    “Follow The Leader”

    Hang

Foxygen has released their new album, and man, is it killer.  This time, Jonathan Rado and Sam France have a 40 piece orchestra backing up, which really pumps up their pop sensibilities.  “Follow The Leader” sounds as if it came from 60’s top-40 radio, when they played everyone from the Doors to the Supremes to the Archies to Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles.  Foxygen can definitely hold their own with any great pop band out there.  The release of Hang definitely has made my day.  I need this.  Oh, and the video is one of the most fun videos since “Shiny Happy People” by REM.  Great job, guys.
