What a voice; what wonderful feedback. Tashaki Miyaki, the duo of Page Stark and Luke Paquin have created what sounds like the soundtrack of a David Lynch movie as performed by Jesus and Mary Chain and Mazzy Star. There is something hypnotic about Tashaki Miyaki’s sound. It is deep, it is loud, it is hypnotic, it is soothing, it is, well, let’s say it’s Tashaki Miyaki. This is a band that most certainly is made to be heard, not just to talk about. The Dream comes out April 7th. I believe Nico, Lou Reed, and Andy Warhol would have approved. I myself am blown away. Thanks for opening my eyes and ears to new possibilities.
