This is the sound of tomorrow. I love M.I.A. She never pulls any punches, her voice is wonderful, she lays down the meanest beats, and she means exactly what she says. In this frightening world, it is wonderful that not everyone is cowed into submission. Of course, I agree with her politics, but even if you don’t, you can’t help but be blown away by her talent; not only in music, but the visuals arts also. M.I.A. is the new Harriet Tubman, leading us to freedom. Don’t follow her; walk beside her and join the fight.
