Fast Romantics are a Canadian band with an unbelievable sense of harmony. Hailed as an ‘Artist to watch’ in 2017 (Google Play), Fast Romantics is comprised of Matthew Angus (vocals), Jeffrey Lewis (bass), Kirty (vocals, acoustic guitar, synth), Kevin Black (guitars), Lisa Lorenz (keyboards) and Nick McKinlay (drums). Their sound is slightly reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, but like the Mac live when the power comes out. And when Angus and Kirty harmonize, it is heaven. American Love is their paean to America, not a protest album, but a study (with love) to a neighbor that overwhelms them in all ways. This is a beautiful song, beautiful band, truly a band to watch.
