Still Punk After All These Years: Jason Loewenstein – “Superstitious”

    “Superstitious”

    Spooky Action

Thank the god of punk rock for Jason Loewenstein.  His work has always been one of the backbones of punk rock, through his time with Sebadoh to his solo work.  The new album is full of angst and quick, short, fast, and crazy songs, just like punk should be.  Not only is Loewenstein music still relevant, so is he.  He is still the crazy punker; he also has grown in his musical ability, all for the great.  I love the way “Superstitious” just ends.  Loewenstein has never sat back on his laurels; Spooky Action is a great addition to one of the most impressive resumes in rock n roll.
