Sad Music For Sad People: Trü – “Trouble”

What a great band Trü is. Coming from New Jersey (is it the nearest of NYC that allows the growth of such great music), Trü sounds like the marriage of Belle and Sebastian with Silversun Pickups, and that is a great mix. Comprised of Pat Defrancisci (guitar/vox), Keith Williams (guitar/vox) Cindy Ward (bass/vox), and Steve Cerri (drums), this band has a great sound. Trü likes to say that they make “sad music for sad people”. That they do, but they do it in such a poppy way that, even if you’re sad, the music can’t help but make you feel better with your sadness. I love this band, but then, I love sad music.
