    Mr. Byrd

    “I’ll Never Let Go”

    Steel Cold Train

Welcome to Jeremy Byrd, or Mr. Byrd, from Cold Water, Alabama.  What a gorgeous voice, full of longing and emotion, written for the one who got away but never leaves Mr. Byrd’s mind.  This is so beautiful and sad.  We all have that one love we let slip away, but we hold onto the memory so hard it actually hurts.  Mr. Byrd combines his beautiful voice lyrics to a song that seems so simple until you realize, just like in relationships, there are time changes and nothing is what it seems on the surface.  As a youngster, he joined his sisters’ band, The Bridges.  As he states:

“I guess it’s funny though, I used the band that drove me to and then away from music to bring me right back into it. I just can’t seem to get away from these girls. The songs themselves come from years of sitting in the background, patiently waiting, and/or processing heartbreak.”

We are so glad that Mr. Byrd decided to come back to music.  This is a beautiful song.  His EP will be coming out June 9th.  What a lucky listening public we are.
