Indescribable Beauty: Exit Someone – “Absent Lover”

    Exit Someone

    “Absent Lover”

    Equal Trouble

For a short number by two people, there is a lot going on, all great.  From the wonderful ethereal vocals to the spinning keyboard sounds to that wonderful, peaceful rhythm carrying the song, the musical number has everything.  Exit Someone is a pop band from Montreal formed by Thom Gillies and June Moon. Together their sound elicits relaxed, resonant pop melodies and rhapsodic poetry. And resonate they do.  This music is wonderful.  Imagine Hope Sandoval singing for Depeche Mode.  It sounds a little like that, but the whole is even greater than that.  And so much more original.  Listen to “Absent Lover”.  It’s so different, it’s hard to describe.  It touches you somehow.
