Brazilian Hard Rock: Gabriel Flag – “Murder Class”

    “Murder Class”

Gabriel Flag, from Porto Alegre, Brazil, has just released one of the most ass-kicking songs I have heard for a long time.  This Singer/songwriter/guitarist has a hell of a voice, and rifts that any hard rock band would kill to have.  Sometimes, in “Murder Class”, he actually sounds a little like Frank Black from the Pixies.  Unlike the Pixies, Flag’s song never slows down, but he keeps pushing and pushing.  As the developer and creator of Stoner Fest, where the best of Brazilian punk and grunge meet to play, Flag has been influential in the rise of such music in the country.  “Murder Class” is most enjoyable.  Besides great vocals and riffs, the intro and outro imitating a fake DJ radio show is super amazing and right on.  If you were around in the 60’s and 70’s, the DJs sound exactly like this.  Check this out. One of the best singles of the year.
