Soulful Duets: SISTERS – “Scene Here”

    SISTERS

    “Scene Here”

    Tender Loving Empire

I had to start this review with the beginning of their bio:

“A revolution without dancing is not a revolution worth having” is a quote famously attributed to Author Emma Goldman. These words could be the motto of Emily Westman and Andrew Vait; better known as pop duo SISTERS.

I love the sound of SISTERS.  It reminds me of Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell or Ashford and Simpson, those soulful duets where you are just taken away unto another world.  Add the hard-hitting lyrics of Gaye at his most political, you get SISTERS. It’s great to have music to rock to, think to, make love to.  You get all that with SISTERS.  I love this duo.  One of the best.  Soul at its top.
