Imagine Ann Heart fronting Eth or Cirith Ungol. You get the idea. This is ear-shattering heavy metal with melodic lead vocals. Ascending Dawn is Marlain Angelides (vocals/songwriter) from Greece by way of London to New York, guitarist Owen Rees and drummer Mark Weatherley, the two of whom remain in London, contributing their writing and production of Ascending Dawn from afar as Angelides paves the way in the US. There is one of the best combos I’ve ever heard. Angelides plays in LEZ ZEPPELIN, an all-female tribute to (obviously) LZ, where she obviously used Robert Plant as a mentor along with Heart. I love it. This band will be huge.
