I love the fact that Newspoke is an anonymous artist from New York. It really gives “Judas Tree” this underground feeling like a lurking revolutionary living in the shadows, and his music reflects this. Sounding like a more depressive Sun Kil Moon (if that’s possible), Newspoke tells tales of people descending into personal hells. It is dark and beautiful and makes you think. Come think with us. Newspoke will never bore you. Dark is the new light.
