    Year Of The Locust

    “Rise Up/Sunrise”

    Rock, Sex, God, Machine

Talk about a punch to the solar plexus!!! Year Of The Locust is one of the bands that will kick your ass out of your winter complacency.  With riffs and rhythm galore and vocals that come out of those shots of whiskey from late nights, YOFL is just the best new heavy metal/blues rock band out their.  Comprised of Scot McGiveron, Fred Serrell, Peter Hellers, and Raeshawn Greene, these guys sing about the shit that happens to all of us: bad luck, bad romance, bad companionship, the pure shit that piles up.  Get rid of it.  Let that plague called Year Of The Locust clear out that crap.  I love this band.  Hailing from NYC, Washington Dc, and West “By God” Virginia, the band’s sound has come into its own under the watchful eye of producer/guitarist Brain Bonds.  This is the band to see this year.  Catch them live:
