Sometimes I get bored, really really bored, then someone like DRINKS comes along and releases a new album. DRINKS is so much like DNA and Mars from the No Wave period, but updated for the present. Music that looks backwards and forwards (like Janus), with stripped down music and vocals sounded like they were recorded in a blender. I know that my head goes through a blender whenever I listen to DRINKS, and this new album doesn’t disappoint at all. Cate Le Bon and Tim Presley, you have delivered again. Thank you so much.
