Tanya Donelly was the voice of the ’90’s and she is now the voice of the ’10’s. I love her so much. Her voice is so clear and wonderful, and her gift of melody and lyrics are unbelievable. In “Suffer The Fools”, she delivers one of the greatest lines ever:
So hit your heart’s side harder
Pretend that all is lost, that is not
Just keep it up, keep on pissing me off
You know, I’d still rather suffer you than suffer the fools
I love Donelly’s direct approach which is even more emphasized by her breathy, child-like vocals. Belly is comprised of Tanya Donelly, Gail Greenwood, Tom Gorman, and Chris Gorman. Together they are Belly. What a great band. Welcome back; you were missed.
