    Stitched Up Heart

    “Monster”

    Never Alone

Imagine the voice of Shirley Manson wailing over some of the heaviest grooves ever.  If you can, you’ve got Stitched Up Heart.  These guys are super killer.  The group was founded in 2010 by vocalist Alecia ‘Mixi’ Demner and guitarist Mikey Alfero, later joined by bassist Randy Mathias and drummer James Decker. According to their bio:

“Listen to the lyrics, they’re going to make you feel something… ” – Mixi
That something is the essence of Stitched Up Heart – a band built around the strength that comes from realizing we are the only ones that control our lives, and focused on the hope that reminds us there is always light at the end of the darkest tunnel. It’s something heavy and powerful.
Powerful and heavy are two great words to describe this band.  Along with New Years Day, they prove that Heavy Metal is not dead.  They are on tour now supporting Halestorm, and if you happen to live in Pittsburgh, catch them at Stage A&E on May 7th.  What a show that will be.
