Compromise? Exit Daze – “Both Sides” Ft. Lissie

    Exit Daze

    “Both Sides” Ft. Lissie

“Both Sides” is one of best on how duets should be employed, basically as a form in which both sides of a story can be told at the same time in a way, like in an opera, the story is best told.  Add to the fact that Exit Daze is well known for beautiful, deceptively simple melodies.  You add Lissie into the mix, and you have nothing short of heaven.  Dreamy yet never dragging, “Both Sides” is a beautiful song. Exit Daze is led by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Nick Tesoriero. For his latest self-titled EP, he performed every instrument on the album.  In teaming up with Lissie, he has picked the best partner to bring his vision of love in trouble to life.  As the bio states:

Lissie wishes they could turn back time to fix where they went wrong while Nick shows off his impressive falsetto saying it’s not enough to fix the broken pieces of their relationship.

This is a beautiful song about love and how compromise doesn’t always work. The fade out is especially moving.
