Blues Guitar God: Hamish Anderson – “No Good”

    Hamish Anderson

    “No Good”

Honestly, we have needed a new guitar hero, and we have him now.  Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Hamish Anderson openly counts as his influences guitar players and songwriters from Robert Johnson and BB King.  He has the love of his guitar like BB did, and maybe he has sold his soul to that devil like Johnson did.  I don’t care about.  I care that Anderson guitar playing is so crisp without a lot of extra notes, like Robin Trower.  And the rhythm section and organ work backing him up, Anderson has definitely hit gold.  Fittingly, Anderson opened for BB on his last tour.  Seems the crown has been handed over.  (Oh, and Melbourne has done it again.  First Courtney Barnett now Hamish Anderson).
