Musical Theatre: Little Person – “I’m Happy To Be With You”

“I’m Happy To Be With You”

I love this song.  This is really one of the oddest songs out there, sounding so simple, yet with these tremendous melodic changes out there, with lyrical nods to Burt Bacharach of all people, and totally pulling it of.  NYC-based twins Nicky Weinbach – lead vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, whistling, synthesizer, sampling, sound effects
Max Weinbach – second lead harmony vocals, electric guitar, whistling, are originally from LA, where both of them were involved in musical theatre, and that involvement is very evident in “I’m Happy To Be With You”, which could be a song from Promises Promises.  I love the fact the Little Person sounds like no one out there, and that they are not afraid to reach into the past to make the uncool cool again.
