    Shadowgraphs

    “Sun Is Rising”

    Another Time

Another tremendous band from Portland, OR.  Take one part The Zombies, one part The 13th Floor Elevator, shove them into the 21st century (or beyond) and you get the Shadowgraphs.  This band is so powerful.  Consisting mainly of Bryan Olson and Charles Glade with Ethan Ricks on bass and Shaun Olson on drums, this music soars like a great acid trip.  Syd Barrett would most definitely understand.  This is psychedelia at its best; this is what the Paisley Sound tried for and didn’t quite succeed.  I love Shadowgraphs.  They are the Janus of psych rock; looking backward yet also looking forward.  Trip out and have fun.
