What a voice.  Alice Phoebe Lou, coming from South Africa but truly finding her voice busking in Berlin, has one of the most interesting guitar styles as well as writing and singing extremely personal songs.  Her picking style is very innovative (just watch her play live) and her voice carries her songs straight into your heart.  With that little yelp at the end of a phrase, Lou makes sure her songs hit their target.  And the video is such a refreshing play on the world view of women just being objects, showing men as objects who at the end, finally rebel.  Such a sly, feminist statement.  And full of hooks and memorable tunes.  Lou has joined the ranks of those women who are changing the face of indie music.  Thank you, Alice Phoebe Lou.
