    The Pull Of Autumn

    “Not Coming Down”

    Afterglow

With Luke Skyscraper James singing lead on this dark song, you get a sound that sounds like what the Velvet Underground would sound like in 2019.  This is such a great song, I’m am definitely feeling the pull.  A true ‘supergroup’, Afterglow features the talents of such Boston/Rhode Island stars as Fred Abong, founding member of Belly with Tanya Donelly and early member of Throwing Muses; James Rao (Orange Cake Mix); Stewart Anderson (Boyracer); Apolonia (Seasurfer); Richard Vincent Adams (Hood, The Declining Winter); Bruce MacLeod (Johanna’s House of Glamour, Underwater Kites), British singer Mina Hunt, pianist Maria Kuznetsova, Jeanne Batting (Spindle Shanks), and Matthew Darrow (The Woods Decay and Fall).  With a diverse group of musicians, The Pull Of Autumn has this great sound that actually melds together and makes a tremendous whole.  This is one supergroup where egos were really left at the door.  I love this album so much.  I do hope that The Pull Of Autumn is just not a one-off deal.  This is music for late night listening.
