The New York-based band Longwave has unveiled a fresh music video for their prominent song “Tidal Wave,” from their successful album The Strangest Things. This release commemorates the 20th anniversary of the album.

Filmed during their 2002-2003 UK and Europe tour, the video is a time capsule of memories, captured by their friend Jason Oliva. The footage, a genuine portrayal of early digital video quality, encapsulates the essence of touring as a rising New York rock band during the early 2000s. Edited by Bill Moldt, the video reflects the joy and youthful spirit of the band during this era, as recalled by Steve Schiltz, the band’s lead.

The music video can be viewed below:

In celebration of this milestone, “The Strangest Things” is being re-released, with preorders available for a limited-edition red vinyl, including autographed copies, while stocks last.

The album, originally produced by Dave Fridmann and released by RCA in 2003, is notable for its 12 tracks including hits like “Wake Me When It’s Over” and “Tidal Wave.”

To further mark this anniversary, Longwave will perform at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on January 27, 2024, the day after the album’s reissue. The concert will feature the complete album performance.

Tickets for this special event are available at the Bowery Ballroom
