After a series of nostalgic tours, indie-folk favorites The Decemberists are making a comeback today with their first fresh tracks in six years.
The newly released song, “Burial Ground,” strikes a harmonious balance between the sounds of The Beatles and CSNY Frontman Colin Meloy describes it as “an ode to spending time in cemeteries.” Currently, this release stands alone for the group, though there’s anticipation for more music to follow.
A significant tour in 2024 is also on the horizon, starting at the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston, New York, on April 30th, and making its way to Philadelphia for a headline show at the Fillmore on May 8th.
