Early Internet is thrilled to announce the release of their second album, Ruminator. Following the success of their singles “Keep My Mouth Out Of Your Name” and the title track “Ruminator,” the new album is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Ruminator features eight tracks of uplifting indie rock melodies, making it the perfect soundtrack for a sunny afternoon. With fuzzy guitar tones and poised vocals, the album offers an immersive aural experience reminiscent of Bombay Bicycle Club, Death Cab for Cutie, and Day Wave. Thematically, it explores ruminating fears, anxieties, and coping mechanisms, providing a cathartic experience for listeners who can relate.

Primarily written by Dean Stafford in his apartment between 2021 and 2023, Ruminator was brought to life with contributions from keyboardist Devon Corey and drummer Ben Masters. The album was recorded at Corey’s home studio in Highland Park, Los Angeles.

Dean Stafford, the frontman of Early Internet, shares the inspiration behind the album and its tracks:

“The album revolves around themes of ruminating thoughts, anxiety, panic, and fear, and learning to navigate, accept, and cope with these emotions in healthy ways. This is evident in songs like ‘Ruminator’ and ‘7 Sided Room.’ Other tracks, like ‘Tell Them All Yes,’ explore the feelings of a young woman coming out to her parents, while ‘Contraband’ deals with secret, forbidden love. ‘Pan Am Smile’ concludes the album on a positive and optimistic note about reclaiming your power.”
