Bay Area-based Spooky Mansion, led by singer/songwriter Grayson Converse, has announced their new studio album *What About You?*, set to release on October 31. This album, rooted in Americana and early ’70s rock & roll, promises a heartfelt, love-driven narrative. The lead single “Saturdays,” unveiled today with an official video, delves into the beauty of simple moments in a new relationship. With jangly guitars and influences from Kurt Vile, The Rolling Stones, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, the track is a testament to the charm of everyday love. Converse explains, “I wanted to write about spending time with my love. After getting married and moving to the country, I realized that having someone to love is the most important thing. Saturdays are our escape, our time to focus on each other. When we’re old and our memories fade, it will be these days we cherish most.”

Accompanied by a video, “Saturdays” stands as the most pastoral entry in the Spooky Mansion repertoire. Converse, newly married and inspired by his countryside life, captures the joy of love and simplicity with acoustic and electric guitars, pianos, and intricate percussion, supported by bandmates Rob Mills, Marty Reising, and Braden Lyle.

Spooky Mansion’s music merges nostalgic rock & roll with touches of country, jazz, blues, and rock, echoing the vibrant energy of their live shows that have fostered a tight-knit community and energize audiences. They have shared stages with artists like Natalia LaFourcade, The Moss, and Cafe Tacuba. Their previous album, *The Curse* (2021), was praised by American Songwriter for its infectious groove, further establishing their distinctive sound.
