The duo, consisting of Al Nardo and Bailey Wollowitz—previously recognized for their work with projects like Sloppy Jane, Water From Your Eyes, and This is Lorelei—are stepping into the spotlight with this album and already garnering significant media attention. The album announcement came with a Stereogum Band To Watch feature and the release of their single “Ur Heart Stops,” which received praise from The New York Times (describing it as “life affirming”), PAPER, Uproxx, Paste, BrooklynVegan, and others, drawing comparisons to artists such as Frank Zappa, Elliott Smith, the Elephant 6 collective, and Yes.
