Earlier this summer, Joe Goddard released his third solo album Harmonics. Across 14 tracks of left-of-centre dance music – touching on UK garage, house, hip-hop, pop, and disco – Goddard opened the floor for a number of collaborators including Ibibio Sound Machine’s Eno Williams, UK rapper Oranje, former Wild Beasts frontman Hayden Thorpe, Joe’s Hot Chip bandmates Alexis Taylor and Al Doyle, Jungle’s Tom McFarland, Bronx-raised singer Fiorious, Guinean vocalist Falle Nioke, and UK jazz musician Alabaster DePlume amongst others.

Today, Joe Goddard releases Harmonics Remixed, a remix album of Harmonics that also features a brand-new song from Joe himself, “Weave” – a brilliant track of twinkling electronica that builds to a soaring, blissful crescendo.

Elsewhere on Harmonics Remixed, DJ Hilit Kolet has turned “Destiny” into a techno banger which she’s been road testing in Ibiza’s legendary club, Pikes, while Boys’ Shortshave delivered a chugging house version of the track. There are Balearic moments with the likes of Cosmodelica taking on “Follow You,” East Coast Love Affair taking inspiration from the legendary Frankie Knuckles on “Summon”, and Ray Mang stretches out “New World (Flow)” into new depths of euphoric sonics. Additionally, legendary UK house and rare-groove producer Ashely Beedle remixes “Progress” via his Black Science Orchestra band members.

With Harmonics Remixed, Goddard takes the ethos of the album once step further. His openness and acceptance of individual human nuances is where Harmonics got its name from – an unbridled celebration of compassion, collaboration, and creation.
