Moondaddy Unveils Ethereal New Single “Conquer Me” Ahead of ‘Lightwave Lightwave EP’ Release

With their latest release, moondaddy unveils “Conquer Me,” the second ethereal single from the forthcoming Lightwave Lightwave EP, offering a haunting meditation on lost love across the multiverse. The track feels otherworldly, with delicate layers of sound woven into its fragile yet textured atmosphere, while frontwoman Cara Potiker’s mesmerizing slow-burn vocals drift like echoes from a ghostly realm. The faint guitar melodies are almost like whispers from a haunted love, drawing listeners into an immersive, spectral soundscape.

“It’s about all of the possibilities that can be co-occurring with our present reality, and wishing for one scenario to take dominance,” Potiker reflects on the song’s deeper meaning.

For the San Diego-based dream-pop band, what began as an escape from existential angst has evolved into a confident artistic vision. In just a few years, singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Potiker has gone from bedroom demos to captivating live audiences with moondaddy’s entrancing shows. Last month, they announced Lightwave Lightwave, a four-song EP that takes their fearless live performances and captures them in the studio through a bold, fully analog recording process.

“This is the first project that sounds exactly the way I want my music to sound,” Potiker shares. “I didn’t have the confidence before, and I just let men take the reins. My vision really came to life on this analog EP—my band and I took full advantage of the spontaneous and manic energy of tape recording.”
