Show Me The Body Completes ‘Corpus II’ with New EP and Launches Corpus Grows Tour

Show Me The Body has unleashed a new EP, completing the Corpus II full-length LP, which began with Corpus II EP I released in July. This latest project continues their Corpus series, a bold testament to the spirit of collaboration and community that defines their work. With Corpus II, Show Me The Body connects across genres and scenes, bringing in artists who share the collective’s vision. While the first half featured heavy hitters like B L A C K I E, King Yosef, Starker, YL, and ZULU, EP II steps up with an equally stacked lineup, including High Vis, Special Interest, Spellling, Ian Shelton (Regional Justice Center, Militarie Gun), Destiny Yusuf (ZULU), VCR, Corbin, and Nick Hakim.

The Corpus Grows Tour, which supports this release, runs through early November, hitting major cities and taking over festivals like Louder Than Life, Furnace Fest, Aftershock, and VIVA PHX. The tour culminates in a massive show at the Knockdown Center in Queens on November 2nd. Alongside Show Me The Body, hardcore outfit BIB will join for the full tour, with additional support from acts like Special Interest, ZelooperZ, Bearcat, and BLACK NOI$E on select dates.

More than just a tour, the Corpus Grows is a partnership with Corpus NYC, a mutual aid and creative collective founded by Show Me The Body in 2015. Originally based in NYC’s DIY scene, the collective has since grown to a global scale, continuing to organize intentional, non-traditional spaces for the youth. Their live shows—chaotic, ceremonial, and undeniably raw—speak to the underground pulse of punk and hip-hop, carrying the collective’s ethos worldwide.

Since their formation in 2009, Show Me The Body—fronted by Julian Cashwan Pratt (banjo and vocals) and Harlan Steed (bass), along with drummer Jackie McDermott—has released several EPs and three full-length albums. Their most recent effort, Trouble The Water (2022), recorded at Corpus Studios in Long Island City with Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Turnstile), pays homage to New York’s subcultures and the physical city itself. The album cements Show Me The Body’s role in not just shaping the hardcore genre but in reshaping the very sounds that define the city, blending gritty punk energy with an unyielding sense of community.
