Telescreens’ latest album 7 marks a bold evolution for the NYC-based band, blending raw, energetic rock with emotional depth. Released in October 2024, the album consists of 16 tracks and showcases a blend of thrashing guitars, driving rhythms, and introspective lyricism. While their earlier work had more of an electro-ballad influence, 7 dives fully into rock, with the band embracing a heavier sound following the addition of drummer Oliver Graf.

Tracks like “Burns” and “Phone Booth” stand out for their gritty yet melodic approach, blending the chaotic energy of bands like The Strokes with a modern twist. This album captures the band’s ability to oscillate between high-energy anthems and more vulnerable, emotionally driven tracks. It’s clear that Telescreens aim for their music to provide both catharsis and reflection for listeners, mirroring their goal to make live shows feel like a spiritual release.

Fans of the New York rock scene will appreciate the authenticity and intensity that 7 brings, solidifying Telescreens as one of the city’s rising stars. With several upcoming shows and a growing reputation for dynamic performances, the band is poised to make waves both live and on record.
