A new LCD Soundsystem album seems to be on the horizon. This week, the band returned with “X-Ray Eyes,” their first track in two years, signaling the arrival of a follow-up to American Dream. Hints about the new release come from Primavera Sound, where LCD Soundsystem is scheduled to perform next year in Barcelona. The festival’s press release suggests the album might drop in time for the early June event, though representatives for the band have yet to confirm any details.

“X-Ray Eyes” debuted Tuesday during DJ Anu’s show on NTS Radio (starting around the 19:40 mark). It marks their first new music since “New Body Rhumba,” featured in the White Noise film. Aside from this, the band has focused on residencies in New York, London, Boston, and Philadelphia, along with various festival appearances. Their only substantial release since American Dream has been Electric Lady Sessions.
