Disclosure’s latest track, “Arachnids,” reveals a more experimental side of the iconic duo, offering a sonic exploration that defies genre boundaries. Released via Warehouse Project Records/Capitol Records, this instrumental odyssey leans into deep grooves, intricate beats, and hypnotic synths, a departure from the pop-leaning hits like “Latch.” Guy Lawrence describes the song as an evolving puzzle of sound design, born from a 10-minute drum-machine jam, pushing the limits of rhythm and minimalism — even experimenting with a bassline built entirely from a kick drum.

The track comes alive in an accompanying visual, directed by UNCANNY, capturing raw fan reactions during a club night at London’s Venue MOT. Intercut with surreal insect imagery, the video embodies the song’s intensity, making it feel as if “Arachnids” unlocks something primal within its listeners.

After wowing festival crowds at events like III Points and Portola, Disclosure now brings their Friends & Family show to Manchester’s Depot Mayfield. The night promises three rooms of curated sounds, featuring talents like Floating Points, Folamour, and DJ BORING. The timing of “Arachnids” is perfect, arriving just after their house collaboration with Chris Lake, “in2minds,” which has been praised across the electronic music scene for its gritty, underground vibe.

With “Arachnids,” Disclosure solidifies their role not just as dance music hitmakers, but as fearless sonic adventurers, exploring new territories while staying rooted in the infectious rhythms that define their music. This release cements their position as a force to be reckoned with — an act equally at home on festival stages and in intimate club settings.
